Tuesday, July 14th Part 2 - Zion National Park

On the second part of our three part day, we drove from Bryce Canyon National Park to Zion National Park. It was a good two hour drive, but we made it and made the most of our short time there.

Driving into the park was absolutely beautiful!

As we were driving through a very long tunnel, Jenn captured a shot of the mountains through a tiny window. There were no lights in the tunnel and only a few windows to the outside world. Neither of us had ever been in a tunnel quite like this.

We took a shuttle through the canyon to take many of the pictures and get a brief tour of Zion before heading to our next stop. At the last stop on the shuttle, we got out and walked along the river to see everything a little more up close.

Along the path, we found very friendly squirrels who seemed to love to pose for pictures.

Jenn drove us out of the canyon since I had driven us into the canyon. It's a good opportunity for each of us, as passengers, to have our fair share of being car sick. I took some pictures as we drove out...

This particular one was called the checkerboard mountain.

I love this particular mountain. The colors are amazing, and it was one of the last shots I captured before leaving Zion.
