Tuesday, July 14th Part 3 - The Grand Canyon, North Rim

As we rushed to reach our final destination of the day we were alarmed to see police cars. Little did we know that Arizona must not hire police officers, but instead buys police mannequins. If you look a little closer at the photo you'll understand what we mean.

We finally entered the Grand Canyon National Park around dusk and began our ascent up to the North Rim. In hindsight, we wished we had had more time to enjoy the three beautiful National Parks on this lovely day, but we are ultimately glad that we got to revel in the beauty of each stop on our road trip.

We have a hard time trying to describe just how "Grand" the canyon was. We'll let the photos do the talking.

What a beautiful sunset!

After our brief stop at the Grand Canyon, we decided we had to stop for dinner on our way to Phoenix. Luckily we happened upon this restaurant. Our waitress, Jenn, was great (as Jenn's tend to be) and we felt ready for the 3 hour drive to Phoenix that ended at 2:00 in the morning.
