Longmont, CO to Moab, Utah

We felt a bit sad to be leaving Colorado, but were rested and excited to check out Utah. The day began at a cool 65 degrees. However, it didn't last long.

Still in Colorado. Oh so scenic!

Another camera feat thanks to clever Lindsey and an empty box of cheese crackers.

We wondered who lives in the town of "No Name"????

More breathtaking views from the road...

This was taken at Grand Junction, UT. The picture doesn't really do it justice. It was so amazingly beautiful that Lindsey almost wrecked the car (not literally, but maybe some weaving) trying to peer out the window to look at it while she was driving.

A brief stop along the road...a friendly traveler taking our picture this time...

Ah, we're so happy. Little did we know our next stop would be at a Visitor Center in Utah. We heard the gas stations in Utah were few and far between, but sometimes you have to make your own mistakes to learn your lesson!

Yep, that's right. AAA had to come and bring us gas. Thanks Dad!

The day began cool and ended in triple digits. Whew, so hot!

Moab. Utah is a truly magnificent wonder. Who knew?!

  1. Lindsey and Jenn -- I'm so sad that Mariah and I were out of town when you guys came through Colorado. It looks like you enjoyed Pearl Street and the drive through the mountains. Moab is one of my favorite spots to visit too. Can't wait to hear more about your travels!

  2. Wow, Utah looks really beautiful. You definitely have to write a book since AAA had to bring you gas in Utah - that's classic!
